Richard "Butch" Hooley, 82 years of Hillsboro, passed away on Saturday September 10, 2022.
Butch was born in Quincy, OH on September 5, 1940, the son of the late Durward and Lucille (Weaver) Hooley. Besides his parents, he is also preceded by daughters, Lisa "Robin" West and Sherri Hooley, son, Gregory Hooley, grandson, Kaleb Sorrells, brothers, Raymond and Russell Hooley and Kenneth Weaver, sisters, Kate Davis, Carol Holbrook and Rowena Crouse and son-in-law, Ralph Slack.
Butch was a member of the Hillsboro Church of God; lifetime member of Local 18 Highway Operators Union where he was a heavy equipment operator.
Butch is survived by his daughters, Clarissa "Gail" (Darrell) Jackson of Peebles, Teresa Slack of Latham, Marcia Hooley of Dayton, KY, Robin "Elaine" Hooley of Hillsboro and Cory (Isaac) Curtis of Greenfield, six grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, sister, Roberta "Birdie" Hooley of Hillsboro and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM on Thursday September 15, 2022 at the Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Locust Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from 11:00 AM until time of services on Thursday at the Thompson Funeral Home.
