Richard Vance, 74 years of Hillsboro, passed away on Monday December 5, 2016 at the Bethesda North Hospital.
He was born in Highland County on May 22, 1942, the son of the late Carl and Annabell (Newkirk) Vance. Besides his parents, Richard is also preceded by his wife, Sandy Vance on August 17, 2015.
Richard retired from Rotary Forms Press, Inc, in Hillsboro, was a member of the Highland County Senior Center and performed as Cowboy Smiley Barrett.
Richard is survived by his three sons, Donnie (Tammy) Vance of New Vienna, Dennie (Kelley) Vance of Lebanon and Dusty Vance of New Vienna, eleven grandchildren: Stephanie Vance, Amanda Hall, Brittany (Mitch) Boatman, Kyle Vance, Heather Vance, Tiffani (Matt) Sullivan, Aubree Vance, Ryan Vance, Mason Vance, David Bailey and Cassie Bailey, eight great grandchildren, Gracie Boatman, Faith Boatman, Isaiah Vance, Jazmin Vance, Josie Vance, Lilly Ferguson, Tristian Drennan and Nat Bailey and two sisters-in-laws, Carolyn (Tim) Caldwell of Hillsboro and Charlene Miller of Hillsboro.
On behalf of Richard's wishes he is to be cremated.
