Richard W. Ward, 80 years of Peebles Louden Community, died Saturday, September 18, 2004 at the Adams County Hospital.
He was born at Louden, Ohio on October 15, 1923 the son of the late Walter ?Babe? and Lena Gordley Ward.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Agnes Fields Ward on March 26, 2003 and one son Randy Ward on March 15, 1984.
He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Ritchie and Pam Ward of Seaman, two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Jimmy Miller of Peebles, Debbie and Roger Douglas of Peebles, one brother, Willard Ward of Hillsboro, two sisters, Betty Lindsay of Peebles, Judy Bracht of Wilmington, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 20, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Gary McCammon and Richard Lloyd co-officiating. Burial will follow with Military Graveside Services by the Adams County Honor Guard at the Dunkard Ridge Cemetery.
Friends may call on Monday from 12:00 noon till time of service at 2:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
