Robert S. Beighle, 85 years of Winchester, died Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at the Ohio Valley Manor in Ripley.
He was born in Winchester, Ohio on April 17, 1920 the son of the late Karl and Jennie Rhoades Beighle.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Seaman United Methodist Church, the Winchester American Legion Cameron-Ellis Post #242, and the Adams County DAV. He operated the Greenwood Restaurant and the restaurant at the shoe factory in Ripley for many years, and was a guard at Milicron in Oakley for several years.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Ellis Beighle, sister, Mary E. Howland, and grandchild, Clifford Beighle.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Hazel Griffith Beighle of Winchester, sons and daughters-in-law, Bob and Jeannie Beighle of Russellville, Sam and Becky Beighle of Winchester, daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Dave Purdin of Cherry Fork, eight grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2006 at 12:00 P.M. at the Bradford-Sullivan Funeral Home in Winchester with Rev. Ken Johnson and George Vance officiating. Burial will follow in the Cherry Fork Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the Adams County Honor Guard.
Friends may call on Saturday from 11:00 till 12:00 P.M. at the Bradford-Sullivan Funeral Home.
