Robert "Bob" J. Moore

Robert J. "Bob" Moore, 82 years of Hillsboro, passed away Thursday, October 28, 2021.

Bob was born June 8, 1939 in Washington County, VA., the son of the late Charles and Sara (Smeltzer) Moore. Beside his parents, Bob was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Sherry Jo Walls.

Bob was a 1957 graduate of Jefferson High School in Clinton County, OH., member of the Hillsboro Church of the Nazarene; served in the Ohio National Guards for 8 years. Bob retired from Kroger after 38 years. Upon retirement, Bob worked for K Mart in Hillsboro for several years.

On May 14, 1960 Bob was united in marriage to Joyce A. (Gaffin) Moore whom survives. Bob and Joyce were blessed with two children, Terri (Darrell) Elliott of Hillsboro and Kevin (Dianne) Moore of Blanchester; two loving granddaughters, Sarah (Terry) Doyle and Jamie (Rance) Cox; eight great grandchildren, Hudson, Carter, Lily Ann, Braxton, Mara, Cash, Kenzie and Jade; two sisters, Nadine (Dale) Carpenter of Wilmington and Doris Chamberlin of Reesville.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at the Hillsboro Church of the Nazarene, 8230 U.S. 50, Hillsboro. Pastor Tom Zile will officiate. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the Hillsboro Church of the Nazarene. Graveside services with Military Rites will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, November 4, 2021 at the Kirker Cemetery, 7155 State Route 136, West Union, OH. 45693.
