Robert Colon "Mose" Bracken, 86 years of Louden, passed away on Saturday September 6, 2014 at the Christ Hospital.
He was born on June 13, 1928 in Bratton Township in Adams County, the son of the late Frank and Julia Myers Bracken. Besides his parents he was also preceded by three brothers John, Weaver and Eldon Bracken, five sisters Geneva Paul, Margaret Parker, Yvetta Kirkpatrick, Edith Matthews and Phyllis Webb and one granddaughter Luann.
Mose has been retired 33 years from Regional Transit Authority of Cleveland, Ohio as a bus operator and instructor, served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II and was a member of the Belfast United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife Melanie, of 38 years, of Peebles; four daughters Brenda Humphries of Bradenton, FL, Gloria Mike Reese of Columbus, Robin Mike Thompson of Wheelersburg and Jeannette Ron Ebling of Nottingham, MD, sister-in-law Betty Bracken of Peebles, four brothers-in-law, five sisters-in-law, three grandchildren Keith, Melissa and Amy, eight great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and host of friends.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday September 12, 2014 at the Belfast Methodist Church with Pastor Ken Woleab officiating. Burial will follow at the Locust Grove Cemetery will Military Rites conducted by the Highland County Honor Guard.
Friends may call at 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday September 11, 2014 at the Thompson Funeral Home.
