Robert Cox passed away on January 6, 2013 surrounded by his family.

Robert was born on August 24, 1925 in Hamilton, Ohio to Raymond and Letha Coates Cox. Beside his parents he was preceded in death by one Brother, Raymond "Rayno" Cox Jr. and one infant sister Ruth.

Robert served his country in the US Army during WWII Asian Theater. Later Robert worked as a Carnation milk truck driver and a farmer. Bob worked at General Motors in Moraine City for 271/2 years.

His proudest accomplishment was his family.

He is survived by by his wife of 61 years Arlene Yarger Cox whom he married on March 9, 1951; two sons, Stephen Cox of Hillsboro Jeffry Teresa Cox of Hillsboro: two daughters, Kellie Jeff Yochum of Hillsboro, Melissa Anton DeFrancesco of Florida; seven grandchildren, Steven Christ, Joshua Cox, Corey Amy Cox, Hannah Yochum, Jalyn Yochum, Marina and Ava DeFrancesco; one great grandchild, Cameron Cox; two sisters, Helen Harold Oglesby, of Hillsboro, Marinona Bruce Peters of Hillsboro;

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Dr. Dan Lamb officiating. Burial will follow with military graveside rites by the Highland County Honor Guard in the Dunkard Ridge Cemetery.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 11:00 AM till time of service at 1:00 PM at the Thompson Funeral Home.
