Robert V. Duff, 97 years of Wilmington, formerly of Highland, died Tuesday, January 17, 2006.
He was born November 17, 1908 in Highland, Ohio, the son of the late Harry and Gertrude Redkey Duff. Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Ruby L. Shelton Duff on January 19, 2004, three brothers Donald Duff, John Duff and Harold Duff, one sister Dorothy French.
Robert was a member of the Highland United Methodist Church, and was avid horse shoe pitcher.
He is survived by four nieces, Mary Jim Sweet of Albuquerque, N.M., Nancy Kent Pickard of Wilmington, OH, Jean Don Sidebottom of Lebanon, OH, Betty Jean Johnson of Wilmington, OH; four nephews, Gary Judy Ivers of Indian Lake Estates, FL, Eddie Nancy Ivers of Washington C.H., OH, Robert H. French, Jr. of Cincinnati, OH, James Francis Duff of Georgetown, IN,
several great and great great nieces and nephews.
Ruby L. Shelton Duff donated her body to medical science.
A celebration of life will be held for Robert and Ruby, 1:00 P.M., Friday, January 20, 2006 at the Highland United Methodist Church. Rev. Mary Cyrus and Rev. Dennis Brewer will officiate. Burial will follow in the Highland Cemetery.
Friends may call from 12:00 P.M. until 1:00 P.M. Friday at the Highland United Methodist Church.
