Robert Dean "Bob" Hopkins, 73 of Hillsboro, Ohio died Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at Highland District Hospital.
Bob was born November 18, 1937, Belfast, Ohio to Clarence and Ruth Rhoads Hopkins. He was a member of Prospect Methodist Church. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Robert Steven Hopkins and brother, Jim Hopkins.
Bob is survived by his wife whom he married on January 11, 1969, Mary "Marie" Hopkins of Hillsboro, son, Michael Dean Hopkins of Hillsboro, adopted son, William Christopher Hopkins of Clearwater, Florida, daughter, Debbie John Swavely of Grove City, Ohio, brothers, William Hopkins of Hillsboro, Donnie Hopkins of Ellenville, Ohio, sister, Jeanie Elliott Ed of Hillsboro, Grandsons, Jacob, Joseph and Justin Swavely.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2011, 1:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Woleab officiating. Burial will follow at the Greenfield Cemetery.
Friends may call on Friday, February 18 from 5-8 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
