Robert L. Mason, 67 years of the Marshall Community, passed away on Thursday June 2, 2016 at his residence.
He was born in Columbus, on May 17, 1949, the son of the late Kenneth E. and Mary Loretta (Strouse) Mason. Besides his parents he was also preceded by his brother, Scott, sister, Kendra, father-in-law and mother-in-law, C.F. and Myrtle Main and two brothers-in-law, Ronnie Main and Elmer Fields.
Robert served in the United States Army, attended Marshall United Methodist Church, operated State Farm Insurance Agency in Hillsboro for ten years, a former member of the Hillsboro Jaycees and the Hillsboro Elk's Lodge #361.
Robert is survived by his with Judith (Main) Mason, whom were married on June 14, 1970, three sons Rob Mason of Hillsboro, Tyler Mason of Harrison and Travis Mason of Hillsboro, two grandchildren, Odin Mason and Kylee Mason, brother Dan (Ursula Begin) Mason of Xenia, sister, Debbie (Terry) Pitts of Plano, TX; sisters-in-law, Cookie Fields and Shirley Main, both of Marshall, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bill and Joyce Main of Hillsboro and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
On behalf of Robert's wishes his body was donated to the UC Medical Center.
A Memorial Service will be 2:00 PM Saturday July 9, 2016 at the Marshall United Methodist Church.
