Robert Morgensen, Sr., 79 years of S.R. 772, Otway, Ohio, died Friday morning, August 2, 2002 at the VA Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.
He was born on December 17, 1922 in Oakland, California the son of the late Hans and Sina Martin Morgensen.
He was a member and past church extension president of the Burns Chapel Church of Christ in Christian Union.
On December 13, 1943 he was united in marriage to Thursa A. Ward, who now is deceased. He was also preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, David Morgensen Jr., and one brother, Andrew Morgensen.
He is survived by two sons, Zeke Morgensen and wife Rita of Piketon, Ohio, David Morgensen and wife Jeannie of Milford, Ohio, four daughters Carolyn Crabtree and husband Jerry of Zanesville, Ohio, Diann Enz and husband Ernie of Otway, Ohio, Linda Setty of Peebles, Connie Nevil and husband David of Albany, Ohio, twenty one grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and one niece Marilyn Weiss of Danville, California.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2002 at 2:00 P.M. at the Burns Chapel Church of Christ in Christian Union with Rev. Richard Lloyd officiating. Burial will follow in the Harmon Cemetery.
Friends may call on Monday evening from 6:00 till 9:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles and one hour prior to service time on Tuesday at the church.
