Roger "Butch" Eugene Woods

Roger Eugene "Butch" Woods, 75 years of Peebles, passed away on September 5, 2021.
Roger was born March 3, 1946 to the late Ralph E. Woods and Mary Irene (Copas) Woods. Beside his parents, Roger was preceded in death by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Joyce and Ken Hoop, Carolyn and Pete Smith; brother-in-law, Herbert McCleese.
Roger is survived by his wife, Helen L. (McCleese) Woods, whom he married on July 10, 1965, celebrating 56 years of marriage. Roger and Helen were blessed with two daughters, Penny Woods and Steve Hanson, Kathy and Randy Smith; two grandsons, Stephen (Shawna) Hanson, Brody Smith; three great grandchildren, Kaiser Hanson, Kaylee Hanson, Connor Myers; three sisters, Mae (Bill) Wolfingbarger, Sandra McCleese, Rhonda (Don Hauke; several nieces, nephews, cousins and life long friend, Don Hill.
Roger was an avid hunter and gun smith. He was a life member of the NRA and the Ohio Gun Collectors Association.
Services will be held at the Convenience of the Family at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Spring.
