Roger Glenn Hunt

Roger G. Hunt, Sr., 77 years of Urbana passed away Saturday, October 9, 2021.

Roger was born September 10, 1944 in Lancaster, OH., the son of the late Wesley Richard and Rosa (Hawk) Hunt. Beside his parents, Roger was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Jody Lewis; two brothers, Raymond Mitchell and Earnest Wesley Mitchell; two sisters, Phyllis Scott and Carol McKellop.

Roger retired in 2006 from construction work. Roger attended the New Hope Church of Urbana.

On October 10, 1964 Roger was united in marriage to Nancy Jo (Scott) Hunt whom survives. Roger and Nancy were blessed with four loving children, Teresa Ann (Roy Phil) Wilson of Urbana, Holly Jo Lewis of New Vienna, Penny (Larry) Fraley of Urbana; one son, Roger G. (Lori) Hunt, Jr. of Peebles; 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; one brother, Hugh R. Hunt of Hillsboro; five sisters, Roberta Humphrey of Latham, Sandy Nevil of Hillsboro, Linda Humphrey of Hillsboro, Cinda Mills of Urbana, Tammy Montgomery of Peebles; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday, October 14, 2021 at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Spring. Jeff Smith will officiate with burial following in the Westwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 12:00 P.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home.
