Roger Sexton

Roger Sexton, 65 years of Peebles, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2012 at his residence.
He was born in North Bend, Ohio on April 24, 1946 the son of the late J.G. and Dorothy Beck Sexton.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one son; Kris Beckham.
Roger attended Evergreen Baptist Church; he played in the 1966 NCAA College World Series at Ohio State University where he was the Most Valuable Player and went on to play in the Minor League for 2 years for the Cleveland Indians; and he was also U.S. Marine Veteran of the Vietnam Era.
He is survived by his wife Becky Beckham Sexton of Peebles whom he married on February 13, 1988, one son and daughter-in-law; Kurt and Elizabeth Beckham of Peebles, two daughters; Sarah Sexton of Peebles and Jessica Sexton of Peebles, one brother; Ray Sexton of Lexington, Kentucky, and three grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at 7:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Bud Ritchie officiating.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 6:00 till 7:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles.
