Roland Parker, 78 years of Peebles, died Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at the Clermont Mercy Hospital in Batavia.
He was born in Delaware County, Ohio on May 23, 1928 the son of the late James and Lois Graham Parker.
He attended the Peebles Church of Christ in Christian Union, was a member of the Peebles Masonic Lodge #581, and the Scottish Rite Valley of Cincinnati.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Velma Purtee Parker, who passed away on August 8, 1989.
He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Bev and Tom Shiveley of Peebles, Barbara and Bob Minton of Peebles, Brenda and Keith Spriggs of Piketon, Becky and Jim Roberts of Frankfort, sisters, Romane Storer of Vandalia, Ruth Arnett of Dayton, Jean Purtee of Peebles, seven grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Volley Reed officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
Friends may call on Saturday from 11:00 till 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
