Ronald William Bash, 79 years of Lynchburg, died Monday, June 25, 2001 at the Highland District Hospital in Hillsboro.
He was born in Huntington, West Virginia on December 25, 1921 the son of the late William and Sarah Alley Bash.
He retired from N & W Railway in December of 1980 after 39 ½ years of service. He was a member of the Northview Baptist Church, where he was a deacon and a past Sunday School Teacher. He was a part-time farmer.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Clifford Bash, and one son-in-law, Gene Hatfield.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Williams Bash of Lynchburg, sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Linda Bash of Clarksville, Arkansas, Lon A. and Nancy Bash of Columbus, Ohio, Jan R. and Kathy Bash of Lynchburg, Glenn M. Bash of Lexington, Kentucky, daughter, Cheryl A. Hatfield of Lexington, Kentucky, brother and sister-in-law, James C. and Cassie Bash of Mesa, Arizona, sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Melvin Smith of Midwest City, Oklahoma, seven grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2001 at 2:00 P.M. at the Northview Baptist Church in Hillsboro with Brother Jeff Griffin officiating. Burial will follow in the Barker Cemetery.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro. There will also be visitation Thursday from 1:00 till 1:45 P.M. at the Northview Baptist Church prior to the service.
