Ronald L. Main, 77 years of the Marshall Community, passed away on Tuesday April 29, 2014 at his residence.
He was born in North Union, OH on October 4, 1936, the son of the late C.F. and Mary Myrtle Hammond Main. Besides his parents he was preceded by one son Edward D. Main, grandson Jonathan Willoughby and brother-in-law Elmer Fields.
Ronald worked with his father, C.F. Main, at the Marshall Stone Quarry, for many years.
Ronald is survived by his wife Shirley Burns Main, whom he married on April 4, 1959, son Troy April Main of Marshall, daughter Brenda Ron Johnson of Marshall, brother Bill Joyce Main of Marshall, sisters Mary Frances Fields of Marshall and Judy Bob Mason of Marshall, five grandchildren Natassis Tommy Shepard, Lori Main, Ryan Main, Noah Main and Abigail Main , four step-grandchildren Angela and Matt Roush, Jeremy Johnson and Daniel Ward, one great granddaughter Leah Shepard and three step-great grandchildren Ethan Roush and Jasmine and Jayden Johnson.
Funeral Services will be 2:30 P.M. Saturday May 3, 2014 at the Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Dunkard Ridge Cemetery.
Friends may call at 12:30 P.M. until time of service on Saturday May 3, 2014 at the Thompson Funeral Home
