Ronald R. Shelton, 65 years of Leesburg, died Sunday, March 6, 2005 at the Sycamore Hospital in Miamisburg.
He was born in Highland County, Ohio on May 2, 1939 the son of the late Olin H. and Eva G. Reno Shelton.
He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of the Hillsboro Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #1161, the VFW Hillsboro Post #9094, the DAV, and the Hillsboro American Legion. He owned and operated the HFC Janitorial Services for several years.
He was united in marriage on November 9, 1959 to Barbara Spruance Shelton, who survives. He is also survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Mark and Dee Shelton of Leesburg, Joe Shelton of Highland, daughter, Michelle Adkins of Springfield, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jim and Diana Spruance of Hillsboro, Duane Spruance of Hillsboro, sister-in-law, Diana Glick of Hillsboro, sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Doug Baker of Lucky, Ohio, eight grandchildren, Luke, Brittany, Michael, Jericah, Kia, and Jade Shelton, and Reid, and Ryan Adkins, daughter-in-law, Rebecca Shelton, and special friends, Mary, Alex, and Aaron LeVan.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 11, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Memory Gardens with military graveside rites conducted by the Highland County Honor Guard.
Friends may call on Thursday from 4:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home.
