Roscoe L. Ramsey, 83 years of Peebles, died Saturday, November 24, 2001 at his residence.
He was born in Manchester, Ohio on October 26, 1918 the son of the late Lewis and Mae Foster Ramsey.
He was an Army Veteran of World War II. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 1029.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Bolton Ramsey, who passed away in 1993.
He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Sidgle and Grace Sears of Summerset, Kentucky, James and Geri Sears of Winchester, Tennessee, daughter, Marjorie Nolte of Norwood, fourteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren, brother and sister-in-law, Andrew Roy and Thelma Ramsey of Lorena, Texas, sister, Garneita Fetters of Manchester, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2001 at 11:00 A.M. at the Peebles Baptist Church with Rodney Roark officiating. Burial will follow in the Jacktown Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the Adams County Honor Guard.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles.
