Rowena I. Crouse, 71 years of Hillsboro, passed away on Sunday July 12, 2015 at the Hospice of Hope Ohio Valley Center.
She was born in Bellefontaine, OH on December 16, 1943, the daughter of the late Durward R. and Lucy Lucille (Weaver) Hooley. Besides her parents she was also preceded by her husband, John R. Crouse, son, Brian Leon Crouse, two brothers, Russell and Raymond Hooley, two sisters, Kathryn Davis and Carol Holbrook, two nieces and two nephews.
Rowena was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, lifetime member of the Hillsboro AMVETS Post 61 Ladies Auxiliary, Hillsboro F.O.E. Aerie 1161 Ladies Auxiliary and the Hillsboro V.F.W. Post 9094 Ladies Auxiliary.
Rowena is survived by her two brothers, Richard Hooley of Hillsboro and Kenny Weaver of Hillsboro, sister, Roberta Hooley of Hillsboro, two grandchildren, Alyson Crouse and Shelby Doss, one great grandchild, Brently Long and special friend, Jill Hiler.
Funeral Services will be 7:00 P.M. Wednesday July 15, 2015 at the Thompson Funeral Home.
Burial will be at Locust Grove Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
Friends may call at 4:00 P.M. until time of service on Wednesday at the Thompson Funeral Home.
