ROY RAY CARTER, 86 years of Peebles, died Wednesday, July 4, 2001 at his residence.
He was born at Youngs, OH in Scioto County on March 24, 1915 the son of Homer and Ella Ross Carter.
He was a US Army Veteran serving in WWII.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Lavinia Lewis Carter, son Bill Carter, daughters, Diana Maddy, Barbara Carter, brothers,
Otis and Cecil Carter and sister Goldie Williams.
He is survived by two sons, Bob Carter of Peebles, Chris Carter of Texas, three daughters Ann Roosa of Peebles, Patty Carter of Peebles, Sandy Howard of Lucasville, one brother Terry Carter of Cincinnati, thirty grandchildren, thirty eight great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2001 at 1:00 P.M. at the Old Hoffer Hill Church with Monty White officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Hoffer Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call on Friday evening from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles.
