Roy L. McKinney, 67 years of Hillsboro, died Monday June 3, 2013 at his residence.
He was born in Dayton, Ohio on July 19, 1945. He was the son of the late Francis McKinney, Ruth and Ashley "Red" Justice. Besides his parents he is also preceded in death by his brother John Justice and sister Connie Justice.
Roy was a retired electrician, served in the U.S. Army during Viet-Nam Era and was a member of the F.O.E. Aerie# 1161 in Hillsboro.
He is survived by his companion Elizabeth Young of Hillsboro, son Daniel McKinney of Wilmington, daughter Angela McKinney of Hillsboro, two brothers Kenny Justice of Goshen and Robert "Sid" Justice of Hillsboro, sister Sylvia Bob Tuck of Hillsboro, three grandchildren, Ryan Patsy Honeycutt, Corey Cloud, and Brady McKinney, and three great grandchildren, Myla, Brayden and Cameron Honeycutt.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. on Thursday June 6, 2013 at the Thompson Funeral Home. Military Rites will be conducted by the Highland County Honor Guard following services at Prospect Cemetery.
Friends may call on Thursday at 12:00 Noon until time of service at the Thompson Funeral Home.
