Ruby Doris Bowen

Ruby Doris Bowen, 81 years of Hillsboro, passed away on Friday July 1, 2016.

She was born in Highland County on August 19, 1934, the daughter of the late Carmon and Sarah (Locke) Huddleston. Besides her parents she was also preceded by her husband, James C. Bowen, two sons, Christopher E. Bowen and Timothy A. Bowen and five sisters, Edith Wright, Lois Shinkle, Bonnie Sue Throckmorton, Marilyn Rhoads and Carolyn Rhoads.

Ruby is survived by her four sons, James E. (special daughter-in-law, Phyllis Bowen) Bowen, Jaceson (Jennifer) Bowen, Arbie Bowen and Curtis "Pete" Bowen, three daughters, Debra Moore, Dawn (James) Jones and Mona Bowen, brother, Carmon Huddleston, Jr., several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and a special friend, Howard Burbank.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be Friday July 8, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Thompson Funeral Home.
