Ruby A. Greene, 90 years of Hillsboro, died Sunday, February 1, 2004 at St. Catherine's Care Center in Washington Court House.
She was born in Bourbon County, Kentucky on April 26, 1913 the daughter of the late Calvert and Nellie Cassity Shaw.
She was a member of the Boston United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Hospital Ladies Auxiliary Red Bud Twig, and the Highland County Senior Citizens.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by two sons, Donald Reese Greene, William K. Bill Greene, one great grandson, Jarred J. Greene, and two sisters, Sarah Etta Shaw Garrison, and Margaret Nell Shaw Braddock.
She is survived by her husband of seventy-four years, Heber R. Greene of Hillsboro, two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles Franklin and Wanda Greene of Sherman, Texas, H. Richard "Mick" and Vickie Greene, Jr. of Hillsboro, four daughters and sons-in-law, Marty W. and Howard Kitchen of Marietta, Patricia A. and Rev. Dr. Wayne O. Clark of Washington Court House, Carol D. and Duane Rogers of Hillsboro, Shirley and Ralph Vance of Hillsboro, two daughters-in-law, Mrs. Donald Patsy Greene of Greenfield, Mrs. William Donna Greene of Lynchburg, twenty-two grandchildren, forty-five great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2004 at 1:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Rev. Wayne Clark and Rev. Janie Shoemaker officiating. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Memory Gardens.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home.
