It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ruby Reece Rogers, who left us peacefully at the age of 77 on January 25, 2025. Born on August 24, 1947, in Jeffersonville, Kentucky, Reece spent his life bringing laughter and love to everyone around him.
Reece is preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary (Bryd) Rogers, brothers, Freddie Spencer and Johnny Spencer and sister, Dorothy Moyer.
Reece, a proud veteran of the United States Army, served from April 15, 1967, until April 14, 1971, reaching the rank of Staff Sergeant. After his service, he found his calling in quality control at Square D, where he made many friends. Ruby was known for his keen eye and wonderful sense of humor - he always had a good joke ready to lighten the mood.
In Hillsboro, Ohio, where he made his home, Reece was surrounded by his beloved family. He is survived by his wife, Mary; (Walker) Rogers, his three sons, two daughters, ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren, special friend, Shiana Fugett and her family and adored his loyal dog and cherished the time spent with his family, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
