Ruby Ethel Tanner, 91 years of Hillsboro, died Thursday, January 1 2009, at Laurels of Hillsboro.
She was born in Winchester, Oh on August 14, 1917 and raised by William and Cora Bell Kinnett Riley .
She was a member of the Hillsboro Bible Baptist Church & attended the Evergreen Baptist Church, near Peebles, for the past 10 years. She was a cook for several restaurants & nursing homes in Hillsboro.
She was preceded in death by her husband George W. Tanner, who passed away June 3, 1986, 2 sons Charles & Richard Stout, Daughter June Beath, and granddaughter Teresa Stout.
She is survived by Son Leslie Stout of Sequin Texas, Daughter & son-in-law Sherry & James Ritchie of Sardinia, Daughters-in-law Joyce Stout of Bainbridge & Debbie Stout of Sebring Florida, Brother Luther Bubp of Somerset Kentucky, 21 grandchildren, & several great & great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at the Hillsboro Bible Baptist Church in Hillsboro with James Ritchie & Dr. Dan Lamb officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens .
Friends may call on Monday from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
