Russell L. Hooley, 71 years of Hillsboro, died Saturday, June 20, 2009 at the Highland District Hospital.
He was born at Bellefontaine, Ohio on July 23, 1937 the son of the late Durward R. and Lucy Lucille Weaver Hooley. Beside his parents he was preceded in death by one sister Katie Davis.
Russell owned and operated the Hooley Construction Company for 35 years. He was a Army Veteran, member of the VFW Post #9094, AMVETS Post #61, Golden Eagle, F.O.E. Aerie #1161.
He is survived by his wife Margaret Blake Hooley whom he married on February 17, 1968, two sons. Rusty Hooley of Hillsboro, Roger Hooley of Hillsboro, one daughter, Becky Tony Sicurella of Blanchester, three brothers, Kenneth Weaver of Hillsboro, Raymond Hooley of Hillsboro, Richard Hooley of Hillsboro, three sisters, Carol Holbrook of Holden, W. VA., Rowena Crouse of Hillsboro, Roberta Hooley of Hillsboro, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Eagle Services will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at 7:00 P.M. followed by Military Rites by the Highland County Honor Guard at the Thompson Funeral Home.
Friends may call from 4:00 P.M. till 7:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
