RUSSELL L. LANSING, 55 Years of Beavers Ridge Road, Peebles, died Monday, December 31, 2012 at his residence. He was born February 21, 1957 in Pike County, OH., the son of the late Emory and Juanita Beekman Lansing. Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry and David Lansing.
Russell was a graduate of Western Pike High School and worked in timber his lifetime.
He is survived by a daughter Heidi Owens of Jasper, OH.; three grandchildren Landon, Logan and Ian Owens; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Basil and Marie Lansing of Peebles, OH., Everett and Grace Lansing of Elm Grove, OH. Kevin Lansing of Peebles, OH.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Delores and Wilson Tong of Peebles, OH., and Deborah and Davy Tong of Peebles, OH.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 4, 2013 at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Spring with Jeff May officiating. Burial will follow in the Whiteoak Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home.
