Russell L. Markins, 91 years of Peebles, died Tuesday, November 1, 2005 at the Eagle Creek Nursing Center.
He was born October 4, 1914 at Peebles the son of the late Clyde and Evelyn Bartlow Markins.
He was a member of the Evergreen Baptist Church, life time farmer and a member of the Peebles Young Farmers.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by his 1st wife Mildred Greene Markins in 1986.
On April 3, 1995 he was united in marriage to Doris Blythe Lloyd Markins who survives. He is also survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Marva Jo and Ike Ward of Loveland, three step sons, Richard Lloyd, Terry Lloyd, Pat Lloyd all of Peebles, two step daughters, Linda Worley and Carma Crothers both of Peebles, one sister, Marie Hamilton of Hillsboro, three grandchildren, six great grandchildren, thirteen step grandchildren and fourteen step great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 4, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home with James Ritchie and Richard Lloyd officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
Friends may call on Thursday evening from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
