Russell L. Martin

Russell L. Martin, 94 years of Peebles, died Tuesday, August 3, 2004 at the Adams County Hospital in West Union.

He was born in Vanceburg, Kentucky on March 20, 1910 the son of the late George and Alberta Voiers Martin.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Blanchester Lodge F.&A.M. #191. He was a Highway Superintendent for ODOT.

Beside his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Turner, who passed away on May 25, 1981.

He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Glen and Connie Martin of Xenia, Mike and Mabel Martin of Winchester, two daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Rick Bishop of Xenia, Melody and Mark Johnson of Peebles, eight grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Bill Christman officiating. Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery with military graveside rites.

Friends may call on Friday from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home with Masonic services at 7:30 P.M. Friday.
