Ruth Edwards Griffith, 90 years of Lynchburg, former Lake Whales resident died Friday, February 8, 2002 at her residence. She was born in Athens County< Ohio on March 13, 1911 the daughter of the late Hiram and Ella E. NashThompson.
Beside her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her 1st husband Mason R. Edwards on June 29, 197` and by her 2nd husband Leo Griffith on November 16, 1992, son John William Bill Edwards, Grandson, Tony Shoemaker, brother Edgar Dale Thompson.
Ruth is survived by a son and daughter-in-law,Larry and Victoria Edwards of Washington, CH., Ohio,six daughters and sons-in-law,Nancy McCreight of Urbana, Ohio, Margaret and Michael Burton of Lynchbury, Mary Lou and Jim McCoppin of Bonita Springs, Florida, Virginia and Vincent Strain of Hillsboro, Ohio, Ruth and Roger Shoemaker of Hillsboro, Ohio, Martha and Daryl Whaley of Clyed, Ohio, daughter-in-law, Norma Jean Edwards of Hillsboro, Ohio, sister-in-law, Frances Thompson of Lancaster, Ohio, 18 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 11, at 2:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson funeral Home in Hillsboro with Beverly Warner
officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery.
Friends may call on Monday from 12:00 noon till time of service at 2:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home.
