Ruth A. Grooms

November 19, 1944 — April 6, 2017

Ruth A. Grooms, 72 years of Hillsboro, passed away on Thursday April 6, 2017 at her residence.

She was born in Monterrey, TN on November 19, 1944, the daughter of the late Charles and Zelda (Simmons) Trisdale of Hillsboro. Besides her father, she is also preceded by her brother, Charles Trisdale, Jr. and two sisters, Lorene Burbage and DeDe Waltkins.

Besides her mother, Ruth is survived by her two sons, Billy (Amy) Grooms of Hillsboro and Greg (Krystal) Grooms of Hillsboro, three daughters, Lisa (Fred) Collett of Bainbridge, Cindy Grooms of Hillsboro and Julie Grooms of Hillsboro, four brothers, Jeff Trisdale, Randall Trisdale, Leon Trisdale and Jerry Trisdale, three sisters, Brenda (Vernon) Bennett, Molly Rhoads and Mary Gringer, eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren: Hunter and Izabella Collett.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Monday April 24, 2017 at the Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Auburn Cemetery.

Friends may call from 12:00 PM until time of services on Monday at the Thompson Funeral Home.
