Ruth Eleanor Pulse, 72 of Springfield, formerly of Hillsboro, died Saturday, September
13, 2003 at the Wright Patterson Medical Center.
She was born in Hancock County on June 20, 1931 the daughter of Ray Eugene and Jessie Florence Vansant Ascham.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Paul F. Pulse II on September 9, 2002, one daughter, Ruth Ann Pulse, two sisters, Julia Ascham and Martha Wanner.
She was a member of the Hillsboro Church of Christ, Past Matron of Hillsboro Chapter #441 Order of Eastern Star in 1980, Advisor for Rainbow Girls, Usher for the O.S. U. Football Games, Den Mother for Cub Scouts, Troop Leader for the Girl Scouts for several years.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Paul F. and Carol Colliver Pulse III, of Scott A.F. Base, Swansea, IL, two daughters, Deborah and Stephen Moore of Okemos,
MI, Elizabeth and Patrick Dominik of New Albany, IN, seven grandchildren, Jennifer and Bryan Dominik, Katherine and Kelsey Moore, Zachary, Jonathan and Hannah Pulse,
One brother and sister-in-law, Wilbur and Ann Ascham of Sylvania, OH, one sister Katherine Blickensderfer of Evanston, Il.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2003 at 1:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with John Porter officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery.
Friends may call on Monday evening from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. with Eastern Star Services at 8:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Charity of the Donors choice.
