Ruth Schirmer, 85 years of Winchester, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2009 at her residence.
She was born in Harrison County, Kentucky on March 21, 1924 the daughter of the late William C. and Sara Lutes Linley.
Ruth was a member of the Winchester Church of Christ.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband; Ross Denny, second husband; Gerald Schirmer, and son Ralph Franklen Denny.
She is survived by two step sons and daughter-in-law; Gerald and Marilyn Schirmer, Jr., of Hamersville and Terry Schirmer of Bethel, two step daughters; Cindy Schirmer of Milford and Lorra Schirmer of Bethel, one brother and sister-in-law; H.W. and Ruth Linley of Cincinnati, one sister and brother-in-law; Mary Ann and Howard Winton of Cowan, Tennessee, several step grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Bradford-Sullivan Chapel in Winchester with Pastor Roland Luthy officiating. Burial will follow in Cherry Fork Cemetery.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Bradford-Sullivan Chapel in Winchester.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Hope, 215 Hughes Blvd. Mt. Orab, Ohio 45154.
