Ruth Turley, 89 years of Bonneau, South Carolina, formerly of Peebles passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at Hallmark Health Care in Summerville, South Carolina.
She was born in Adams County, Ohio on January 18, 1920 the daughter of the late Harvey and Dora Neary Covert.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James Russell Turley, who passed away on January 1, 1975.
Ruth was a member of the Peebles Methodist Church and a retired school teacher of Peebles High School.
She is survived by her son Ralph Turley of Bonneau, South Carolina, two brothers; Bill Covert of Lynchburg, Ohio and Harvey Covert of Columbus, Ohio, one sister; Ellen Welch of Lady Lakes, Florida, three grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Steve Zinser officiating. Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call on Friday from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles.
