Ruth Welch, 91 years of Wilmington, passed away Monday, June 4, 2012 at the Wilmington Nursing Rehabilitation Center.
She was born at Nolan, W. VA, on April 16, 1921 the daughter of the late John and Nannie Presley Diamond. Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Frank Welch on January 31, 1901, one daughter, Dora Marie Workman, one son Denny Ray Welch.
She had attended Zion Hill Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Polly McQuesteen of Jefferson City, TN, 22 grandchildren and numerous great, great great and great great great grandchildren.
Services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, June 11, 2012 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Pastor Robert Murphy officiating. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Memory Gardens.
Friends may call on Monday from 12:00 noon till time of service at 2:00 PM at the Thompson Funeral Home.
