Sharon Kay Edwards, 53 years of Hillsboro, died Sunday, June 11, 2006 at the Highland District Hospital in Hillsboro.
She was born in Dayton, Ohio on July 12, 1952 the daughter of the late John W. "Bill" Edwards and Norma Jean Skeen Edwards of Hillsboro.
She was a 1970 graduate of Hillsboro High School and a 1973 graduate of the Career Beauty School in Chillicothe. She worked at the Hillsboro Beauty Center, New Look Beauty Shop, and Magic Touch in Hillsboro for thirty-two years. She was a member of the Harriett Missionary Church, where she was a piano player.
She was preceded in death by her father, John W. "Bill" Edwards, brother-in-law, Joe Jordan, and aunts, Mary Lou McCoppin, and Virginia Strain.
Besides her mother she is survived by her sister, Debra Lynn Jordan and special friend, Doug Keller of Hillsboro, uncles, Lawrence Sue Skeen of Springfield, Larry Vicki Edwards of Washington Court House, Vincent Strain of Hillsboro, aunts, Ruth Roger Shoemaker of Hillsboro, Martha Daryl Whaley of Clyde, Ohio, Nancy McCreight of Urbana, Ohio, Margaret Michael Burton of Lynchburg, several cousins, and host of friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Jim Sollars officiating. Burial will follow in the Dunkard Ridge Cemetery.
Friends may call on Friday from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
