Shirley Cluxton, 64 years of Peebles, died Sunday, August 27, 2006 at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati.
She was born in Tollesboro, Kentucky on June 7, 1942 the daughter of the late Donald and Helen Jones Harry.
She was a homemaker and attended the Peebles Nazarene Church.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by one daughter, Cynthia Dunn, one grandson, Bradley Dunn, and three sisters, Doris Miller, Nancy Shepherd and Janice Bennington.
She is survived by her husband John Cluxton whom she married on November 12, 1960, one son and daughter-in-law, Allan and Karen Cluxton of Peebles, one daughter and son-in-law, Johnna and Kevin Hoffer of Wilmington, three grandsons, Nathan Cluxton, Andy Cluxton and Tyler Hoffer, one granddaughter, Ashley Hoffer, six great grandchildren, and three sisters, Freda Rhoads, Donna Rae Meece and Alice Purdin.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Larry Windle, Volley Reed and Richard Lloyd officiating.
Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
Friends may call on Wednesday evening from 5:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the Peebles Nazarene Church, Vine Street, Peebles, Ohio 45660.
