Shirley Lee Collier, 70 years of Hillsboro, passed away on Friday May 3, 2019 at the Highland District Hospital.
She was born in Hillsboro on April 11, 1949, the daughter of the late Ronald McConnaughey and Mary Lou (Edwards) McConnaughey -McCoppin. Besides her parents, she was also preceded by her stepfather, James McCoppin.
Shirley worked at Merchants National Bank and Fifth Third Bank throughout her working career.
Shirley is survived by her two sons, Mark (Jane) Collier and Ryan (Jennifer) Collier, five grandchildren, Zach Smith, Samantha (Maggie) Collier, Clayton (Mariah) Collier, Eric (Emily) Collier and Blaine (Cody Morgan) Collier, two great grandchildren, Lilly and Ellis Collier, special aunt and uncle, Ruth and Roger Shoemaker, Godchild, Molly Barnett and many close friends.
A special celebration of life is being planned in the future for family and friends.
Thompson Funeral Home is taking care of the family.
