Shirley Fillmore, 76 years of Hillsboro, died Monday, September 26, 2011 at the Kettering Medical Center in Dayton.
She was born at Cleveland, Ohio on March 31, 1935, the daughter of the late Edgar Lewis and Violet McCormick Eck. Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband George Curtis Fillmore, Sr. on January 1, 1987, two grandchildren, Scott Curtis Wilson, Tonya Lee Coonrod and two brothers
She was a member of the Mt. Olive Church of Christ, an avid supporter of the March of Dimes, American Cancer Association, Paralyzed Victims and the 700 Club.
She is survived by two sons, George Curtis Nola Fillmore, Jr. of Greenfield, Matthew Robert Michelle Fillmore of Fayettevile; six daughters, Betty Richard Wilson of Washington, CH; Geraldine C. Geese of Hillsboro; Diana Lee Fillmore of Chillicothe; Deborah M. Mark Mathews of Greenfield; Brenda Roger Cox of Hillsboro; Tina M. Tim Fawley of Lynchburg; two sisters, Dorothy and Susan; nineteen grandchildren; thirty eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 30, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Russell Lieb officiating.
Burial will follow in the Bainbridge Cemetery.
Friends may call on Thursday evening from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Thompson Funeral Home.
