Shirley Louise Raut Irish, 74 years of Hillsboro, died Sunday, May 18, 2003 at the Bethesda North Hospital in Cincinnati.
She was born in St. Louis, Missouri on March 11, 1929 the daughter of the late Fred C. and Amanda Arlane Woodruff Raut.
She was a member of the Marshall United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, Hillsboro Historical Society, and Hillsboro Women?s Club. She was also an active member for more than twenty years of the Leesburg Brush and Palette Art Guild, having served as president, and a member of the Gideon Auxiliary for more than twenty years. She was a loving mother and a loving wife of more than fifty-two years.
She was united in marriage on April 15, 1951 to E.E. ?Dusty? Irish Capt. USN ret.. Also surviving is her daughter, Pamela Louise George Puchovich of Richmond, Virginia, son, Bert E. Sharon Irish of Hillsboro, and eight grandchildren, George Jr. Heather, Mark, and Ben Puchovich of Richmond, Virginia, Joshua, Jared, Veronica, Caleb, and Amanda Irish of Hillsboro.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. at the Hillsboro Bible Baptist Church with Dr. Dan Lamb officiating. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Memory Gardens.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home.
