Shirley Lucille Main, 83 years of the Marshall Community, passed away on Saturday March 18, 2023.
She was born in Hillsboro on December 18, 1939, the daughter of the late Charles and Myrtle Marie (Storer) Burns. Beside her parents, she is also preceded by her husband, Ronald Main on April 29, 2014, son, Edward "Eddie" Main, grandson, Jonathan Willoughby, sisters, Ruth Burns, Virginia Tuck and Mildred Maher, brothers, Charles, James and David Burns, sister-in-laws, Beverly, Phyllis and Ruth Burns and brother-in-laws, Donald Main, Robert Mason and Elmer Fields.
Shirley graduated from Fairfield High School, worked at Jean's Flower Shop, Marshall Quarry and was a cook for the Marshall School. She loved to go thrift store shopping and digging in the bins at Goodwill; go for drives, visit with family and friends, get twist ice cream cones, enjoyed the broasted chicken in Fayetteville and cook home made meals for Troy and is family.
Shirley is survived by her daughter, Brenda Johnson of Hillsboro, son, Troy (April) Main of Hillsboro, grandchildren, Natassia (Tommy) Shepherd, Lori, Abby, Ryan and Noah Main, sister, Linda (Steve) Burney of Hillsboro, brothers, Bob Burns of Hillsboro, Russell (Loretta) Burns of Blanchester, Gary Burns of Hillsboro, Kenny Burns of Hillsboro and Roger (Kim) Burns of Manassa, VA, sister-in-laws, Linda Reed of Hillsboro, Joyce Main of Hillsboro, Judy Mason of Hillsboro and Mary Frances "Cookie" Fields of Hillsboro and brother-in-law, Whitey Maher of Fayetteville.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Saturday March 25, 2023 at the Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Dunkard Ridge Cemetery.
Friends may call from 11:00 AM until time of services on Saturday at the Thompson Funeral Home.
