Shirley A. Rhoads, 67 years of Peebles, died Tuesday, September 19, 2006 at the Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth.
She was born in Adams County, Ohio on November 21, 1938 the daughter of John and Pauline Bays Hayslip.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Hayslip.
She was united in marriage on January 11, 1987 to John Rhoads, who survives. She is also survived by her mother, Pauline Hayslip of Peebles, sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Dianna Chamblin of Peebles, Tim and Bea Chamblin of West Union, Brian and Jennifer Chamblin of Franklin, Matt and Tina Chamblin of Peebles, daughter and son-in-law, Tina and John Abbott of Peebles, step children, Jeff Rhoads, Larry Rhoads, Debbie Rhoads, Donna Holsinger, brother, John Hayslip of Portsmouth, sisters, Linda Sea, Kay Thompson, Connie Miller, fourteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and several step grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 22, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Richard Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
Friends may call on Friday from 9:00 till 11:00 A.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
