Silas "Jr" Collett, 78 years of Hillsboro, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2012 at the Highland District Hospital.
He was born at Pineville, KY on July 21, 1934 the son of the late Silas & Bertha Phillips Collett SR. Beside his parents he was preceded in death by one son Rodney Collett.
He is survived by his wife Wanda G. Sturgill Collett whom he married on April 14, 1962; sons, Silas Collett III of Bainbridge, Fred Lisa Collett of Bainbridge, Charles Barbara Collett of KY, Joshua Collett of Hillsboro, Jeffery Collett of Hillsboro, Jacky Collett of Marshall; daughter, Rhonda Collett of Belfast; brothers, Boyd Collett & John Collett both of KY; 16 grandchildren, six great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Thompson Funeral Home with Billy Sturgill officiating. Burial will follow in the Olive Branch Cemetery.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 12:00 noon till time of service at 2:00 PM at the Thompson Funeral Home.
