Starley Gustin

Starley Gustin, age 95 of West Union, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2014 at Mercy Hospital Anderson.

He was born in Peebles, Ohio on December 7, 1919 the son of the late Thomas and Della (Storer) Gustin.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Glenn Gustin, three sisters, Cleo Parker, Ocie Potts, and Bertha Thomas, and two other siblings, Richard and Chloe died in infancy.

Starley was an Army veteran of World War II, a member of the Adams County Republican Club, and a Charter member of the Louisville Grange.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Catherine (Moore) Gustin of West Union; son Dennis and Vickie Gustin of West Union; daughters, Elaine and Jerry Bodlander of Glen Echo, Maryland and Bev (Alan) Blake of Loveland; sister, Sue Wilhelm of Kettering; four grandchildren, Erin and Matthew Blake and Sydney and Jarrid Gustin; and two great grandchildren, Ryleigh and Wyatt Gustin.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Volley Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Louisville Cemetery with military rites given by the Adams County Honor Guard.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at funeral home.
