Susie Smith, age 72 of Peebles, passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at Mercy Hospital Clermont.
She was born in Adams County, Ohio on July 18, 1941 the daughter of the late Otis and Pearl Foughty Chamblin.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Smith who passed away on September 9, 2002.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Krista Smith of Peebles and Randy and Kathy Smith of Peebles; one brother, Gary Chamblin of Peebles; two sisters, Ellen Thornberry of Winchester and Trudy Johnson of Peebles; 3 grandchildren, Tori, Brody, & Ty; and companion, Don Mains of Peebles.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 25, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Larry J. Windle officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Saturday from 4:00 till 6:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles.
