Thayne Alan Stewart, Sr

Thayne Alan Stewart, Sr. 86 years of New Vienna, died Thursday, September 27, 2012 at the Clinton Memorial Hospital.
He was born on March 20, 1926 in Highland, OH., the son of the late Eldwin Frank & Monna Mae Willison Stewart. Beside his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Thayne Alan "Tony" Stewart, II; three sisters, Jean Skaggs, Nancy Stewart, Mary Vereta Srease; three brothers, Robert Stewart, Roger Stewart, Frankie Stewart.
He retired as Chief of Police from the New Vienna Police Department, was a WWII Veteran serving in the Navy.
He is survived by his wife Karen Robinson Stewart whom he married on September 3, 1968, three sons, Randy Beverly Stewart of Dayton, Richard Stewart of Wilmington, Robert Stewart of New Vienna; one daughter, Susan Jane Stewart of New Vienna; four grandchildren, Thayne A. Stewart III, Megan Stewart, Amanda Stewart, and Evan Parker Stewart.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, October 4, 2012 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Mike Daye officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Cemetery with military graveside rites by the Highland County Honor Guard.
Friends may call on Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Thompson Funeral Home.
