Thelma E. Hawkins, 81 years of Peebles, died Wednesday, April 24, 2002 at the Clermont Mercy Hospital in Batavia.
She was born in Adams County, Ohio on January 27, 1921 the daughter of the late James and Jennie Case Gorman.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Omer Hawkins, who passed away on July 30, 1983, and two sons, Bill and Jim.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Tom and Judy Hawkins of Seaman, Bob and Becky Hawkins of Peebles, daughters, Rosemary Ball of Peebles, Sharon Hawkins of Tennessee, Roxanna Hawkins of Brookville, Ohio, sisters, Elsie Gunsauley of Dayton, Marjorie Harrison of Alabama, twenty grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2002 at 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Raymond Cox officiating. Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call on Friday from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
