Thelma Wallace Thompson, age 96 of Peebles, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Adams County Manor.
She was born in Adams County, Ohio on May 20, 1918 the daughter of the late Elmer and Chloe Stern Wallace.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Thompson, who passed away on November 13, 1992; two daughters, Janice Adams and Sharon Brooke; and one brother, Francis Wallace.
Thelma attended Peebles Church of Christ, was a member of Peebles Lioness Club, and the Wheat Ridge Ladies aid.
She is survived by two sons, Dean Thompson of Columbus and Dan Amy Thompson of St. Louis; one daughter, Marcy Houchen of Peebles; one brother, Elmer Wallace of La Plata, Maryland; 15 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 11 great great grandchildren, and several step grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the Peebles Church of Christ with Bill Christman, Robert Warren, and Doug O'Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the church.
Memorials may be made to Peebles Lions Club.
