On Sunday, August 15, 2010 at Bethesda North Hospital, our loving husband, father, gramps, uncle and friend ended his battle with cancer and went to rest in heaven,

surrounded by his loving family and friends with laughter up until his passing .

He was born December 4, 1945 to the late Richard and Mae Crabtree Throckmorton

In Lucasville, Ohio. On June 27, 1964 he married the love of his life, Bonnie Marie Carey. From this marriage they had two children, Leona Mae Tim Heizer of Lynchburg and Thomas Harold Throckmorton Jr. of Leesburg. Also a special niece who they helped raise as a daughter Kitty Burchett of Hillsboro and a special nephew who was thought of as a son Todd Carey of Hillsboro.

He leaves many loving memories in his five grandchildren's lives who he adored more than life its self. Bradley Throckmorton fiance Randall Wilkin, Zachary Heizer, Brandon Throckmorton girlfriend Anna Garringer, The "only" granddaughter Emily Heizer and Dalton Throckmorton. He taught them all many lessons in life and shared special memories with each of them that they will have for a life time.

He is also survived by two brothers, Gary Throckmorton of Hillsboro, Dave Judy Throckmorton of Lucasville. Sister in laws, Mortie Throckmorton of Lucasville and Donna Throckmorton of Hillsboro, Carole Harry Davies of Xenia, Ernie Rhonda Carey of Hillsboro. Also surviving are hundreds of special nieces, nephews and friends, including Patty Crabtree who grew up with him like a sister.

He was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers: Vivian Mosley, Lula Kidder, Barbara Page and Imogene Oppy Crabtree. Herb Throckmorton, Don Throckmorton and Ed Throckmorton.

He was a retired carpenter and very talented craftsman who built many beautiful homes and buildings around the state of Ohio. He also loved to hunt deer, go fishing and spend as much time outdoors as he possibly could. He was always available to help anyone in a time of need and loved children with all of his heart.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 20, at 2:00 PM at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Pastor Jerry Fyffe and John Laufer officiating with visitation on Thursday evening from 5:00 - 9:00 PM.
